A Tennessee teenager is behind bars for allegedly threatening to shoot his uncle with a gun containing a 100-round magazine, all because the victim was making his nephew leave for stealing from him.

Kevin Lowery, 18, is facing charges of aggravated assault, domestic assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony and possession of marijuana with intent to sell, according to the Memphis Police Department.

Cops responded to a home in the 1300 block of Overton Park Avenue for a man with a gun, police said. The victim reportedly said Lowery became upset when he accused the teen of stealing from him, and he told his nephew he would be taking him to his sister's house for the night.

Lowery, who had a handgun on his hip, drew the weapon, took out the standard magazine and replaced it with a "100-round drum," cops wrote.

"Once you drop me off, you better drive away quickly because I'm going to start shooting at you," Lowery allegedly said.

The suspect left the apartment and the uncle called cops. Officers spotted Lowery sitting in front of the apartment and when he stood up, a gun and high-capacity magazine fell from his lap, the complaint stated. He also had marijuana on him, per cops.

Police spoke with Lowery's aunt, to whom he allegedly sent a picture of the gun and said if his uncle did not give him the money to make it back to St. Louis, he would make the victim "lose everything."

Cops took Lowery into custody. As of Thursday afternoon, he remains in the Shelby County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
