A salon owner in Texas wasn’t having it when three individuals stormed into his establishment, demanding money and holding people at gunpoint. Footage released by the Houston Police Department on Monday showed the suspects, who remain unidentified, barging into Rose’s African Hair Braiding on August 2.
According to police, they demanded money and pointed guns at the patrons and employees to keep them from leaving, the Houston Chronicle reported.
One suspect can be seen pointing a weapon at a salon employee, then grabbing a customer who tried to run away, throwing her to the floor.
Seconds later, however, they were the ones fleeing, with a co-owner of the salon hot on their heels.
The man can be seen jolting from the back of the salon with a broom in his hands, knocking away the gun of one of the would-be assailants, thrusting the broom at him forcefully. He then drops the cleaning supply and charges right at the suspect and his accomplices, with all three of them running out, escaping into the night.
Police said that during the fracas, one of the suspects dropped their gun, which went off, and that the owner then tried to pick it up as the three suspects fled the scene.
