Admittedly Prolific Child Molester About to Be Released…Then Charged with Exposing Himself to Prison Nurses

70-year-old Wayne Chapman was going to be released from prison after serving decades for abusing children. Two experts had declared him to be no longer “sexually dangerous.” Well, he was newly charged with exposing and touching himself in front of prison nurses, according to CBS Boston.

He pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges of indecent exposure, lewd, wanton and lascivious acts, and open and gross lewdness and lascivious behavior.

He is being held without bond, and a court date is set for June 27. The new charges stem from alleged incidents on Sunday and Monday.

And yet just on Monday, the Massachusetts Judicial Court ruled in his favor, and ordered him to be released because the Commonwealth met the statutory and regulatory requirements to let him go. Convicted in the 1970s for raping two boys, his actual prison sentence ended in 2007, but authorities managed to keep him locked up for a civil commitment as a “sexually dangerous person.” He admitted to abusing up to 100 boys, court records said, according to the outlet. Before the new charges, however, two psychologists said that he was no longer dangerous because of his age and physical condition.
