A New York man allegedly took to social media and threatened to kill President Donald Trump and "put a bullet directly between" the eyes of U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro.

Daniel Kretsinger is charged with interstate communication of a threat to injure after posting his alleged feelings on X, formerly Twitter, in June, according to a federal complaint.

Kretsinger, who is from Hauppauge — a hamlet on Long Island about an hour from New York City — tagged Pirro on X and ranted in selfie videos about wanting to kill her and Trump.

"You're such a lying despicable piece of s— [Pirro] I'm specifically targeting you when I come to Washington D.C. and put a bullet directly between your eyes," Kretsinger allegedly said in one video, posted on June 30, in reply to a post made by Pirro. "And if Trump keeps up his bulls— I may kill the president too. F— you. Eat my f—ing s—."

Kretsinger allegedly posted another video of himself to his X account about 15 minutes later, which also came in reply to an X post by Pirro.

"I'm gonna come to DC very f—in soon sweetheart and I'm gonna put a bullet in your f—in head," Kretsinger said, according to the complaint. "I love you, you evil lying dirt bag thieving f—ing b—!"

Law enforcement agents located and interviewed Kretsinger in Hauppauge about his X posts. He allegedly admitted that the X account belonged to him and confessed to traveling to Washington, D.C., Florida and Long Island looking for Pirro.

"F— america f— fox news and f— Trump," Kretsinger wrote in another reply, according to the complaint. Pirro is a former Fox News host who became the U.S. attorney for D.C. in 2025.

Kretsinger was released into an inpatient psychiatric treatment program in New York, where he must wear an ankle monitor and stay off social media.
