As O’Reilly Gets the Boot, New Accuser Professor Caroline Heldman Comes Forward

On Wednesday, the Murdoch family finally made it official Bill O’Reilly was out after a slew of sexual harassment allegations against the long-time media star. Yesterday, an African American woman who worked as a clerical worker in 2008 at Fox News, claimed O’Reilly engaged in a pattern of harassment that lasted for months including making animal noises at her, staring at her cleavage and calling her “hot chocolate.” Now, yet another woman has come forward. Caroline Heldman, a professor at Occidental College, and guest on the O’Reilly Factor reportedly called the Fox News hotline on Wednesday to make her allegations official against the former network ratings star.

According to her bio, Heldman is an associate professor of politics who specializes in the presidency, media, gender and race. She most recently appeared on the Fox News network earlier this week to battle Tucker Carlson over her desire for the “one-percent” to pay taxes rates of 80 percent or more.

As for her allegations against O’Reilly, they are quite vague so far but, her attorney, Lisa Bloom, who is also representing two other accusers, claims Heldman was also harassed by O’Reilly and retaliated against by the network.

While O’Reilly hasn’t responded publicly to the latest allegation, he has said generally that the allegations against him are completely “unfounded.” His attorney did release a statement Tuesday night:

Bill O’Reilly has been subjected to a brutal campaign of character assassination that is unprecedented in post-McCarthyist America. This law firm has uncovered evidence that the smear campaign is being orchestrated by far-left organization bent on destroying O’Reilly for political and financial reasons.

That evidence will be put forth shortly and is irrefutable.
