A woman in custody after being discovered in an off-limits section of a SpaceX facility in Texas claimed to be the wife of company CEO Elon Musk.

Sheriff's deputies detained Su Young Boudreau, 41, on Tuesday after she was spotted in a restricted part of the SpaceX Industries complex located in the Brownsville area. They had been called in reference to a "criminal trespass," the sheriff's office said in a press release.

"Upon arrival, the Deputies made contact with Space X Security staff and took their statement," the statement said. "As per the security personnel, a female was found wandering inside an 'only employees' building, she was asked to identify herself and she claimed to be 'wife of Elon Musk.'"

An investigation revealed that Boudreau "was not affiliated to Space X Industries, surveillance footage was obtained to corroborate the initial statements and it was confirmed that she was not the wife of Elon Musk," the statement also says.

It apparently wasn't the first time Boudreau had tried to make her presence known.

"After further investigation, a report was filed on September 25, 2023 and Boudreau was warned to stay away from Space X premises by CCSO Deputies," the statement says. "Boudreau insisted she was heading home to her husband (Musk)."

Boudreau has been charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass.
