A man and woman from Kentucky allegedly robbed, pistol-whipped and fired a gunshot at a woman outside a Louisville McDonald's during lunchtime.
Alex Jordan, 38, and Margaret Wells, 43, stand accused of robbery, assault and wanton endangerment, jail records say.
According to arrest citations obtained by local Fox affiliate WDRB, the incident occurred Thursday afternoon outside the McDonald's on the 5600 block of Bardstown Road.
The couple reportedly got into an argument with the victim before it turned physical. Jordan allegedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim before demanding she give up her personal items. He then allegedly started pistol-whipping her in the head while Wells punched and kicked her.
They were rifling through the victim's property when Jordan fired one gunshot toward the victim, the affidavit reportedly said. The shot missed the victim, per cops.
The victim suffered several injuries, including lacerations on her head and arm and swelling on her forehead and cheekbone, WDRB reported.
Cops with the Louisville Metro Police Department recovered a shell casing at the scene. They reportedly tracked down the couple using surveillance video. It's unclear whether the suspects and victim knew each other before the alleged attack.
Both suspects reportedly have a history of theft and burglary. Jordan is a convicted felon and is charged with being in possession of a firearm, according to jail records.
Jordan remains at the Jefferson County Jail on a $100,000 bond while Wells has a $50,000 bond. They are next set to appear in court on Sept. 14.
