A day care worker in Texas is accused of biting a 3-year-old boy after the child allegedly bit another kid at the youth center.

Elisha Daniel, 54, was arrested last week and charged with felony injury to a child after she was caught on surveillance video at Little Angels of Maypearl day care in Ellis County sinking her teeth into the arm of the young victim, according to police officials, who spoke to local Fox affiliate KDFW about the alleged incident.

"She was very aggressive. Very angry," said Maypearl Police Captain David Smith.

"Reaches out and grabs the student by the arm, pulls him towards her, then places his arm in her mouth and at that time you can see a look of anguish or pain come across the child's face, and you know something is not right with it," Smith recounted.

Child Protective Services received a report in October about the alleged biting attack and investigators probed the incident before contacting authorities, according to Smith.

Maypearl Police Chief John Shelton told KDFW that the surveillance footage was uncovered during the investigation and is what ultimately led to Daniel's arrest. He urged other parents to come forward if their children experienced similar injuries or attacks.

"If anybody wants to come forth with any additional information or any other incidents, then yes, we will investigate it," Shelton said. "But so far we just have the one current one that we're investigating."

A staff member at Little Angels confirmed to Law&Crime on Tuesday that Daniel is no longer employed by the day care.

"No, she is not," the worker said.

The family of the boy Daniel is accused of biting told KDFW that their son has been emotionally affected by the incident and is confused by what happened. The family said they hope he gets justice in some way.

Daniel was released on a $10,000 bond and is awaiting her next court hearing.
