A Texas mother was arrested after police said her neighbors called to report her children were allegedly running in the street unsupervised.

Amber Flemming, 33, was charged with six counts of abandoning or endangering children on Monday after police said her six children were playing in the roadway without any adult supervision. According to an arrest affidavit obtained by local CBS affiliate KWTX, one of Flemming's neighbors in Bellmead, Texas, called police after she said she saw four children playing in the street, "including a baby who reportedly ran in front of traffic."

When police arrived at 4:23 p.m., they said they saw "multiple children running across the roadway" and no adults in sight, one of them "a toddler wearing only a visibly soiled and sagging diaper."

According to reporting on the affidavit by local Fox affiliate KWKT, Flemming was identified as the mother of three of the children and the stepmother to the other three. All the children were under the age of 15 and were not being supervised by any adults. Police said the father of three of the children was at work at the time.

When police located Flemming, she was at a neighbor's house, which allegedly smelled like marijuana and cigarette products.
