The one-time wunderkind once capable of commanding respect from politicians on both sides of the aisle–once inspiring some unkempt sort of awe from the likes of Dianne Feinstein–will be subject to two days’ worth of grilling in front of cameras and well-wishers on Capitol Hill.

A whole host of issues continue to be addressed, including: the Cambridge Analytica controversy; the easy success of private sector Russian trolls in gaming Facebook’s ad algorithms (and allegedly U.S. election law); Charles Koch‘s newly-announced role of prominence in the tech giant’s public relations-and-repair efforts; the possibility of incoming regulatory oversight; and Facebook’s controversial concept of privacy in general.

On Day 1, Senator John Thune (R-SD) promised viewers a worthwhile time in a statement from the Senate Judiciary and Commerce Committees:

Our joint hearing will be a public conversation with the CEO of this powerful and influential company about his vision for addressing problems that have generated significant concern about Facebook’s role in our democracy, bad actors using the platform, and user privacy.

Zuckerberg’s testimony has come over the course of two days: Tuesday and Wednesday. On Tuesday, Zuckerberg faced a joint hearing before the Senate Judiciary and Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation committees. On Wednesday, Zuckerberg faces the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

This event began at 10:00 a.m. ET.

Notably, Zuckerberg was the only scheduled witness for each day of questioning.
