Kenasia Guilford appears with her attorney in court (WTVG).

An Ohio woman who allegedly handcuffed her boyfriend to a railing and refused to release him has been charged with abduction.

Kenasia Guilford, 33, posted $10,000 bond and agreed to wear an ankle monitor after she was charged with abduction, burglary, and two counts of theft. Guilford appeared in court on Sept. 28 after her arrest in connection with incidents on Sept. 22. According to reporting by local CBS affiliate WTOL, Guilford, an EMT and firefighter with the Toledo Fire and Rescue Department, was in a romantic relationship with a captain from the same department.

On Sept. 22, Guilford had the man over at her home, where she allegedly handcuffed him to a railing with his permission. But then, she allegedly did not allow him to leave.

During the Sept. 28 court hearing, which was covered by local ABC affiliate WTVG, Guilford's attorney, Richard Mitchell, said the alleged incidents stemmed from a "paramour situation," and "some information was learned by the defendant that would make anyone have substantial concern and was traumatic." Mitchell did not provide further details about what Guilford reportedly found out.

WTVG reported that the victim called his friend after escaping from Guilford's home at 4 a.m. In a 911 call obtained by the outlet, the friend told dispatchers that the victim "said he had to gnaw — she handcuffed him to some railing or something. He said he had to fight his way off of there, so he might be injured, I don't know."

The friend reportedly told dispatchers he found the victim and drove him back to the victim's house. The friend then allegedly saw Guilford "walking down the street in the pitch dark, running toward his house." Police said Guilford allegedly broke into the victim's house, where she was found in a bedroom. Guilford allegedly stole the victim's car, house key, and phone.

The friend told dispatchers that the victim was still wearing the handcuffs when he found him. Police were able to cut them off.

Guilford is currently out of custody and was ordered not to make contact with the victim or his family. Her next court date is scheduled for Oct. 15.
