A former coach at an Oklahoma high school was allegedly caught on camera giving underage students tattoos.
Alissa Lloyd, 35, was charged with unlawful tattooing, a misdemeanor, after police said she gave tattoos to two girls who knew her through her former position as a girls basketball coach and teacher at Moore High School in Moore, Oklahoma. The alleged incident occurred in April, and according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by local Fox affiliate KOKH, there was video of the illegal tattoo session.
Police said the two girls arrived at Lloyd's home for a visit on April 3 and left with permanent ink.
Local ABC affiliate KOCO reported that police found tattoo equipment at Lloyd's home after executing a search warrant. They wrote in the affidavit that the equipment matched what Lloyd was allegedly using to tattoo one of the girls.
A spokesperson from Moore Public Schools confirmed to KOKH and KOCO that Lloyd was no longer employed with the school after resigning.
The spokesperson said in a statement, "Moore Public Schools learned of an allegation concerning a former coach in the spring. They were immediately removed from their duties and chose to resign. MPS follows state law with any allegation brought to our attention. The safety and security of Moore Public Schools' students and employees is our foremost concern."
The Norman Police Department arrested Lloyd, who posted her $1,000 bond. She is due to appear in court on Oct. 16 for her arraignment.
