A Florida woman was recently arrested for throwing a container full of her own excrement at a neighbor, Sunshine State police say.

Yirsi Machado Rivera, 50, stands accused of one count each of burglary and battery, according to Miami-Dade County court records.

The underlying incident occurred on Monday, Sept. 7, at the Royal Country Mobile Homes development on Northwest 200th Terrace in Opa-locka, a small city located in the Miami metro area.

The defendant and the victim reside on separate sides of a split trailer, according to a charging document obtained by Law&Crime.

On the day in question, Machado Rivera "began banging on the door" of her neighbor's side, police said.

"The victim opened the door and the defendant began accusing the victim of having a sexual relationship with the defendant's husband," the complaint and arrest affidavit reads.

The altercation allegedly spiraled from there.

The defendant next "forced her way" into the neighbor's home without permission, according to law enforcement. While inside the residence, she "began shoving the victim," police said.

Then came an attack involving feces, authorities say.

"Before exiting the victim's residence, the defendant subsequently threw a bucket containing human feces onto the victim," the charging document reads. "The defendant then exited the victim's residence."

After that, police officers arrived and took Machado Rivera into custody, according to the complaint. At a nearby police station, the defendant allegedly agreed to talk after hearing her Miranda rights.

During the interview, the defendant offered a different narrative, according to law enforcement.

To hear Machado Rivera tell it, she was simply "trying to get rid of a bucket of 'caca' that she was using due to her residence having a broken toilet," according to the charging document.

The defendant said she and the victim had gotten into "a verbal dispute over the smell of the 'caca' and the problem it was causing."

Machado Rivera also blamed her neighbor for the incident, police said.

"The defendant advised that the victim hit her over the head with a bat causing a laceration to her head," the complaint goes on. "The defendant denied entering the victim's residence and throwing 'caca' at the victim."

But authorities disputed that account.

"The defendant stated to the witness that she pooped in a bucket to throw it in the victim's face," a note on the charging document reads.

Machado Rivera is detained in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, records show.

On Tuesday, Miami-Dade Bond Court Judge Mindy Glazer granted a request by prosecutors to hold the defendant in pretrial detention, according to a courtroom report by the Miami Herald.
