A woman in Kentucky was so frustrated by how long her drive-thru order at KFC was taking that she pulled out of her spot, grabbed a rifle from her trunk, and pointed it at one of the employees, authorities say.

Nayda Rivera Roman, 33, has been charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, jail records reviewed by Law&Crime show. She was booked in the Fayette County Detention Center on Monday.

On May 11, authorities say, Roman was in the drive-thru of the KFC restaurant on Richmond Road in Lexington, Kentucky. The city is located in the center of the state, about 75 miles east of Louisville.

Roman was frustrated about how long her order was taking, an arrest citation obtained by regional CBS and The CW affiliate WKYT claims. She apparently exchanged words with employees of the establishment and then left her spot in line, driving around the restaurant to the parking lot.

Once there, Roman allegedly parked her vehicle, opened its trunk, and pulled out an AR-15-style rifle. She reportedly held it up and pointed it at one of the employees in a "threatening manner," per local NBC affiliate WLEX.

The defendant then drove away.

Police responded to the restaurant and reviewed surveillance footage. The employee who was allegedly threatened helped identify Roman as the suspect, according to authorities, with body camera footage from traffic stops involving her vehicle also apparently helping investigators' case.

Deputies with the Fayette County Sheriff's Office arrested Roman on Monday, according to jail records. It is not yet clear when she is due to appear in court.
