Watch Live: William Knight Murder Trial

Ohio man William Knight is accused of murdering a man during a dispute over a dirt bike on March 20, 2017. Authorities say he and his family responded to an ad for the bike that was stolen from Knight’s son-in-law. An altercation ensued, resulting in Knight fatally shooting Keith Johnson. Knight claims he acted in self-defense.

Knight told 911 operators that he was afraid that his daughter and son-in-law were in danger and had to shoot Johnson.

Knight tried to use an insanity plea, but that was withdrawn after an evaluation found him to be mentally competent.

He is facing charges of murder and felonious assault.
