Two teens in Idaho are behind bars for their alleged roles in violence that erupted at multiple house parties in Boise — including a fatal stabbing.
Isaiah Chavez and Miyah Ford, both 18, are in custody at the Ada County Jail, city records show, in connection with the death of 20-year-old Casey Rayburn, who was stabbed to death at a party on N. Duncan Lane in Boise on Sept. 7, 2026. According to Boise police, Chavez and Ford are among four suspects linked to Rayburn's death. They have both been charged with aggravated assault.
"At approximately 1:30 AM on September 7, 2026, Boise Police and Fire, and Ada County Paramedics were called to reports that a person had been stabbed on the 6000 block of N. Duncan Lane in Boise," the police statement said. "Upon arrival they found people fleeing a large house party and an adult male stab victim on the front porch."
That victim was later identified as Rayburn.
Chavez and Ford were already in custody in connection with a different case when authorities linked them to the fatal stabbing.
"Boise Police identified and arrested Isaiah Chavez and Miyah Ford last week on charges related to a separate incident that occurred on August 16, 2026," the police statement said. On that day, officers responded to the 2200 block of S. Gekeler Lane for a report of shots fired at a house party, police said.
"Officers located evidence that shots had been fired during a fight causing damage to the home's ceiling and roof," the statement added. "Five suspects were arrested related to the fight, and one suspect was arrested for firing a gun into the ceiling."
According to police, "[e]vidence indicates gang activity was a factor in both incidents."
Authorities said they believe that there are "multiple videos of the incident that can provide important context to the situation and help move this case forward."
Cops asked for the public's help and reminded people that "anyone withholding evidence, including additional video evidence of the crime itself, or destroying evidence may also be charged with a crime."
"Gang violence and related activity will be addressed to the full extent of the law. I want to recognize the outstanding work of our patrol officers who initially responded, secured the scene, and gathered critical evidence," Boise Police Chief Chris Dennison said in the police statement. "That work, combined with the follow-up investigation by our detectives, helped us identify and locate the suspects. This is a great example of the teamwork and professionalism our officers bring to every investigation."

The additional suspects in Rayburn's death have been identified as Keigan Blagburn, 22, and Tashaun Maldonado, 18.
