A Florida woman allegedly threatened to post her lover's intimate photos if he didn't give her $20,000 when she learned he actually had a girlfriend.
Nathalie Rodriguez Gonzalez, 19, is charged with extortion.
According to a probable cause arrest affidavit, Rodriguez Gonzalez met the man while she was a waitress at a Miami restaurant. The two developed a romantic relationship "over a short time" and they went on a few dates.
But unbeknownst to her, the man already had a girlfriend. When she found out, she was not happy.
Rodriguez Gonzalez allegedly began extorting the man, saying that if he did not send her $20,000 she would send his intimate photos to his girlfriend. She said she would add $5,000 to the total each day he did not send her money, the affidavit stated.
The defendant declared she would also post the pictures "across all her social media," cops wrote. She also contacted the victim's business partner.
"Should I post this on my IG and tag everyone?" she allegedly said, referring to Instagram.
The woman allegedly followed through on the threat and sent the girlfriend a photo.
"This will genuinely get posted if he doesn't wire me the money btw," she said, according to cops.
Rodriguez Gonzalez then allegedly shared censored photos of the man on her TikTok page.
She also apparently threatened to have him deported, but then figured that may be too much.
"Give me my money or I will escalate this worse," she allegedly wrote. "The deportation does not have to happen but I want my money. If he doesn't wire me the money his d— will get posted followed by your face, his face."
The victim contacted police on Aug. 24. Cops spoke with Rodriguez Gonzalez, who gave a "full confession" but insisted she was "simply joking," according to the affidavit.
Officers arrested Rodriguez Gonzalez and took her to the Miami-Dade Jail, where she has since posted a $7,500 bond. Her next court date is set for Oct. 27.
