A Pennsylvania man is being held without bail after police said he confessed to beating his mother to death.

Jakob Korber, 29, was charged with criminal homicide after his mother, Christin Hamilton, was found dead on the front porch of her home in Sewickley Township, Pennsylvania, on Sunday. According to a press release from the Westmoreland County District Attorney's Office, surveillance video captured the alleged assault, which began with a verbal altercation between Korber and Hamilton and ended with her death.

In an interview with Pittsburgh-based CBS affiliate KDKA, Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Steve Limani said Hamilton was wearing a towel and having a morning coffee while letting the dog outside minutes before her son allegedly attacked her.

Limani confirmed to KDKA that Hamilton's daughter found her mother naked and bleeding on the front porch of their home around 9 a.m. on Sunday. He told the outlet that Hamilton "went through hell for over an hour, and it was at the hands of her son."

During the attack, Korber allegedly used his "hands, feet, and multiple objects on the front porch" to pummel his mother to death while she pleaded for her life. Limani said her calls for help went unheard, and Korber "at no point in time showed any mercy."

Hamilton was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to reporting by local news outlet TribLive.com, Korber was caught on cameras walking around the property following the alleged attack. Limani said Korber apparently changed his clothes after the alleged attack. According to court documents obtained by TribLive.com, investigators believe Korber fell asleep in a nearby field while authorities searched for him.

Korber was eventually taken into custody Sunday evening after he surrendered to police. Police said in an affidavit, "Korber eventually confessed that if his mother, Hamilton, was dead, it was him that caused it."

Local ABC affiliate WTAE reported that Hamilton's daughter spoke to police after they arrived and said Korber had made threats against her and her mother in recent days.

Korber is being held without bail at the Westmoreland County Prison. His next court date is scheduled for Sept. 14.
