A Pennsylvania woman and her former boyfriend were found dead in her home, and police said they may have been dead for days while her two toddlers were left alone.
The Wilkinsburg Police Department responded to a home in Wilkinsburg on Monday after receiving calls expressing concern about the family who lived there. When police arrived at the home, they found the bodies of Lamara Baldwin, 31, and Lamont Dunlap, 42. Also inside were two young children, ages 1 and 3, both little girls.
According to reporting by local ABC affiliate WTAE, authorities said that based on evidence found inside the home, Baldwin and Dunlap had been dead since July 31.
The station reported that the two little girls were taken to the hospital in stable condition and were now in the custody of Children and Youth Services (CYS). Neighbors and friends who spoke to WTAE confirmed that both girls were Baldwin's daughters and that Baldwin and Dunlap used to be in a relationship, but were not at the time of their deaths.
Neighbors also told authorities that a dog they saw at the home was missing, and WTAE reported that the dog had been found and was being sheltered at the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh.
Before her death, Baldwin posted a series of Facebook Live videos in which she discussed her mental health, living situation, and other problems related to being "lied to." Her final video was posted on July 31, the day she was believed to have died. In that video, Baldwin said, "I don't know how much more I can take."
Police said neither body showed obvious signs of trauma or injury. More answers were expected after the Allegheny County Medical Examiner conducted autopsies.
