A teenager in Ohio stomped on another teen's head while wearing football cleats, law enforcement in the Buckeye State says.

Alex Davenport-White, 18, stands accused of one count of aggravated assault, according to the Cincinnati Police Department.

The underlying incident occurred on Oct. 3 at or near Willard Stargel Stadium on Ezzard Charles Drive in Cincinnati — a sports venue for Cincinnati public school district football and track events.

Davenport-White is a senior football player for Hughes High School, according to Cincinnati-based CBS and The CW affiliate WKRC.

The identity and high school affiliation of the victim are not a matter of public record as of this writing.

The violence included both stomping and kicking and occurred after the Hughes vs. Taft football game, according to court records obtained by Newport, Kentucky Fox affiliate WXIX.

Afterward, the victim was taken to Cincinnati Children's Hospital suffering from multiple knots on his head, a swollen eye, and a loose tooth, according to the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office.

Authorities say Davenport-White and the victim were involved in some sort of "altercation" but details are otherwise scant, according to charging documents obtained by Law&Crime.

Davenport-White acted "in a sudden fit of rage" that may have been "brought on by serious provocations" and which caused "serious physical harm" to the other teen, a criminal complaint reads.

"Alex dragged and stomped [the victim] with football cleats causing him to go unconscious," the complaint reads.

An affidavit prepared by police describes the "dragging and stomping" incident in similar terms, adding the detail of the victim being "on the ground" and being attacked "in the head."

Davenport-White was arrested and detained in the Hamilton County Jail earlier this week.

On Oct. 22, during the defendant's arraignment, a judge set bond at $5,000, which was posted later that same day.

He is slated to appear in court again on Nov. 2.
