A 15-year-old Florida boy is being charged as an adult after he allegedly killed a classmate because the victim bumped him and refused to apologize.

The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m. Oct. 9 at Vogt-Meloon Park on West Oak Ridge Road in Orlando, a probable cause arrest affidavit said. When deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office arrived, they found a 16-year-old boy later identified as Pinien Dalmacy with a gunshot wound to the top left side of his head. First responders rushed Dalmacy to the hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.

Witnesses identified the suspect as Jacori Antonio Redding. Detectives later learned that Redding became upset when Dalmacy bumped him while in the hallways of Oak Ridge High School. When Dalmacy wouldn't apologize, Redding challenged him to a fight at the park, which is down the street from the school, cops wrote.

As they were walking to the park, Redding was allegedly taunting the victim and flashing gang signs. When the fight began, Dalmacy punched Redding first and they began scrapping, cops wrote. As they were tussling, Redding allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Dalmacy dead. A video captured the shooting which confirmed witness accounts, deputies said.

After the shooting, Redding walked back to the school where deputies confronted him. Redding claimed he was defending himself and had the alleged murder weapon in his backpack. He was arrested on charges of manslaughter, possession of a firearm on school property and possession of a firearm by a minor.

A motion for pretrial detention said Redding had nearly 40 disciplinary incidents in school, with roughly half of them being related to fighting. In a text message about two months before the shooting, Redding allegedly expressed his desire to take out a gun during a fistfight and shoot someone, which is exactly what he is accused of doing.

Deputies also noted he was previously arrested and out on bond for grand theft of a motor vehicle.

He's currently in the Orange County Jail without bond. His next court date is scheduled for Wednesday.
