Armed Women Dressed as Nuns Tried to Rob Bank, FBI Says

Two armed women dressed as nuns tried to rob a bank Monday in Tannersville, Pennsylvania, says the FBI. They are both described as Hispanic, and no taller than 5’2″.

The Pocono Township Police Department originally investigated the failed robbery before the feds got their hands on the case. These women walked into a Citizens Bank at about 12:19 p.m., and demanded cash, according to an FBI statement obtained by Law Newz. Investigators say only one “nun” had a handgun while the other stood by the entrance, but they eventually ran off without getting any money.

No injuries were reported.

“Thou shalt not steal,” says Exodus 20:15. These “nuns” risk eternal hellfire and damnation! Oh, and bank robberies are prohibited by federal law. Even mere attempts can bring a possible 20 years in prison.
