A Georgia man is accused of killing his ex-girlfriend after he sneaked into her car outside a convenience store and shot her before he chased her down and executed her when she ran inside for help.
Antwane Sintell Thurmond, 45, is wanted on charges of malice murder, felony murder and domestic violence aggravated assault in the death of 44-year-old Tia Vidon Keith, the Hall County Sheriff's Office said. Thurmond is still on the run.
Cops say Keith was buying items at Subhanallah Food Mart in Gainesville just after 9:30 p.m. Thursday. Thurmond, her former live-in boyfriend, was sitting in her passenger seat when she returned to her car, deputies said. The suspect allegedly shot Keith multiple times inside the car.
Keith escaped and ran inside the store for help. Thurmond allegedly chased her down. The store's owner told local ABC affiliate WSB that surveillance video showed Keith running toward a bathroom when she fell down. Thurmond stood over her and shot her several more times, cops said.
"She died on the floor of the convenience store," deputies wrote.
Thurmond fled the scene in his car. Deputies did not release a motive for the shooting.
A store clerk called 911. The clerk and another customer in the store were not injured, cops said.
Deputies have since recovered Thurmond's car and searched his Metro Atlanta home, but Thurmond remains at large.
Thurmond is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 212 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Thurmond has multiple tattoos, including a neck tattoo reading "ROMANS 12:19." He also has a prosthetic lower left leg and walks with a slight limp.
"He is considered armed and dangerous," cops wrote.

Keith was a hairstylist who owned her own salon, according to her Facebook page. Her family wants her memory to live on.
"Remember her heart, the kind of person that she was. Her sense of humor, that she was a sweet person. She cared about how she looked, she was very glamorous and she would just give to anybody and that she had a family that loved," Keith's cousin Charlotte Sosebee told WSB.
