Avoiding further headaches and a possible lengthy prison sentence if convicted, an agreement was struck on Tuesday between prosecutors and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton to dismiss criminal securities fraud charges lodged against him nearly a decade ago if he meets certain conditions.
